Aisleful Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 6 September 2026
1. Who we are
Aisleful is a trading name of Matthew McDyer, a sole trader.
- Business address: 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE
- Email: [email protected]
- Website: aisleful.com / aisleful.co.uk
- VAT: Not currently VAT registered
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply whenever you use Aisleful to buy or manage a wedding photo and video gallery. By creating a gallery, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Data Processing Agreement.
If you're a guest uploading photos to someone else's gallery, most of this document doesn't apply to you directly, but Section 8 (Guest Uploads) explains how your photos are used.
2. What Aisleful does
Aisleful lets a couple ("you", "the account holder") create a shared photo and video gallery for their wedding. Guests scan a QR code and upload photos or videos directly, without needing an app or account. Uploaded content is stored and made available to view and download for a period you choose:
- 6 months
- 12 months
- 18 months
- Forever
The Unlimited tier includes transferable ownership (you can pass the gallery to someone else, for example if your account becomes inactive) and an anniversary email reminding you the gallery exists.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over and able to form a binding contract to buy an Aisleful gallery. Aisleful is intended for personal, non-commercial use around weddings and similar personal events, not for commercial photo collection or resale.
4. Placing an order
- You choose a plan (tier and duration) and pay through our checkout, powered by Stripe.
- Once payment is confirmed, your gallery and QR code are created immediately and you'll receive a confirmation email.
- The contract between you and Aisleful is formed at the point payment is confirmed.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order, for example where we suspect fraud or misuse, in which case we will refund any payment made.
5. Prices and payment
- All prices are shown in GBP (£) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT, unless stated otherwise.
- Payment is taken in full at checkout via Stripe. We do not store your card details ourselves.
- We may change our prices for new orders at any time; this will not affect a plan you've already purchased.
6. Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)
Because Aisleful is a digital service, UK law gives you a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you buy your plan, during which you can cancel for a full refund, provided you have not started using the service.
However, your gallery and QR code are created and made available to you immediately on payment, so that you can start collecting photos right away (for example, at a wedding happening soon). By completing checkout, you expressly ask us to begin the service immediately and acknowledge that:
- once your gallery has been created and guests have started uploading content, you lose the right to a full refund; and
- if you cancel after the gallery is created but before any guest uploads, we will refund your payment in full, minus a small amount to cover the value of the service already provided (if any).
This does not affect your other statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the service is not delivered as described, is faulty, or is not fit for purpose.
7. Storage periods, renewal, and what happens at the end
- Your gallery remains accessible for the storage period you purchased, measured from the start date you choose at setup (which does not have to be your payment date, e.g. you can set it to your wedding date).
- We will email you in advance of your storage period ending, with the option to upgrade or extend.
- If a fixed-term gallery is not upgraded before its expiry date, the gallery and all content within it will be permanently deleted. We are not able to recover content after deletion.
- Unlimited tier galleries are retained indefinitely, subject to Section 15 (What Happens If Aisleful Closes).
- Ownership of an Unlimited gallery can be transferred to another person via your account settings. Once transferred, the new owner has full control, including deletion rights.
8. Guest uploads and content ownership
- Guests who upload photos or videos to your gallery retain copyright in their own content. By uploading, a guest grants you (the account holder) and Aisleful a licence to store, display, process, and make that content available as part of the gallery, for as long as the gallery exists.
- You are responsible for making sure your guests have a reasonable understanding that photos they upload will be visible to you and, depending on your settings, to other guests. We recommend mentioning this on your invitations or at your venue.
- Guests must not upload content that:
- they don't have the right to share;
- is illegal, obscene, hateful, or discriminatory;
- infringes someone else's privacy or rights; or
- contains malicious files or code.
- We reserve the right to remove any content that breaches these Terms, and to suspend or close a gallery that is being used to share unlawful content, without prior notice where the content presents a legal or safety risk.
- If you receive a complaint from a guest about content in your gallery (for example, someone asking for their photo to be removed), you are responsible for actioning it. We provide tools to let you manage and delete individual items.
9. Data protection
Personal data (including guest photos) is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and, where you are the data controller of guest data uploaded to your gallery, our Data Processing Agreement, both of which form part of these Terms.
10. Service availability
We host Aisleful on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the UK, and we take reasonable steps to keep the service available and your content secure, including regular backups. However:
- we do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free;
- we are not liable for downtime or data loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control (including AWS outages, internet disruptions, or force majeure events as described in Section 16); and
- we recommend downloading a personal copy of your gallery periodically, particularly for irreplaceable content, as an additional safeguard.
11. Intellectual property
The Aisleful platform, branding, logo, and underlying software are owned by Matthew McDyer or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Aisleful's own intellectual property to you. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or resell the platform itself.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with your use of Aisleful is limited to the amount you paid for your plan;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of memories, distress, or losses arising from a guest's actions; and
- we are not liable for content lost due to guest error (for example, a guest uploading the wrong file or accidentally deleting an upload before it is confirmed), though we will always try to help where we can.
As a sole trader running a small business, we want to be upfront: we do everything reasonably possible to protect your gallery, including AWS's robust infrastructure and regular backups, but no service can offer an absolute 100% guarantee against data loss, and this liability cap reflects that reality alongside the price you pay for the plan.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover any reasonably foreseeable losses, claims, or costs we incur as a direct result of your breach of these Terms, for example if you unlawfully collect guest data or use Aisleful for a purpose it isn't intended for. This does not apply to losses caused by our own negligence or breach of these Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, including the content rules in Section 8, after giving you a reasonable opportunity to put things right where practical (except where content presents an immediate legal or safety risk).
You can close your account or delete your gallery at any time via your account settings. Deleting your gallery is permanent.
15. What happens if Aisleful closes
We want to be honest about this, especially given the Unlimited tier promise. If Aisleful ever has to stop operating:
- we will give Unlimited tier customers at least 90 days' notice by email where reasonably possible;
- we will provide a way to download a full copy of your gallery before any shutdown; and
- we will make reasonable efforts to explore a transfer of the service or your data to another provider, rather than simple deletion, though this cannot be guaranteed.
16. Force majeure
We won't be responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet or power outages, AWS service failures, war, or government action.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or our service. We'll notify existing customers of material changes by email. Continued use of Aisleful after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Complaints
If something's gone wrong, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to put it right. If you remain unhappy, you can also raise a complaint with Trading Standards via the Citizens Advice consumer helpline, or seek advice from Citizens Advice.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
